Welcome to Emmanuel Church of Elgin!

We believe, at Emmanuel Church of Elgin, that our purpose is simple: Prepare People for  Eternity with Jesus.

God has given us a vision of our church in that is a church that is a multicultural, multigenerational group of praying, disciple making people who share the gospel.

To that end, we are currently working toward five goals:

Our Goal – Have 100% of our members participating in the prayer ministry of the church. We envision a church with a strong prayer ministry.   See what we are currently doing with or prayer ministry

Our Goal—Have a congregation of attenders and members with a median age of attenders and members of 48 years of age (in comparison to thirty months ago when it was 62 years of age). We envision a church that is making obvious attempts to become a multigenerational congregation.   Check here to see what we are doing to reach people of all ages!

Our Goal—Have a congregation of attenders and members which is balanced in composition with Caucasians, Hispanics, and Other Races/Ethnicities of the World. We envision a church that is making obvious attempts to become a multicultural congregation. Heaven is going to be a place with lots of different races, ethnicities, people groups. Check here to see what we are doing to try to create "a little bit of heaven here on earth!"

Our Goal—Every member will participate in the work of evangelism, resulting in six people accepting Jesus Christ as Savior. We envision a church whose members are actively sharing the gospel. The world seems to be such a hopeless place. We're trying to bring hope to our world; see how.

Our Goal—Every member will be able to identify one person they are discipling, and one person who filles the role of a Christian mentor in his or her life. We envision a church that is intentionally making and developing disciples of Jesus. According to the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20, disciplemaking is at the core of what we do. We are striving to be the church the Lord desires us to be.

Compassion is at the core of a church's DNA. We want to grow in our having a heart just like Jesus had when He saw people (Matthew 9:36)
